Life's a Beach

Happy Valentine’s Day everyone.  I hope you all are able to enjoy the day with loved ones whether it be a significant other, family or friends.

Valentine’s Day has never bothered me or excited me for that matter.  For all of my teens and my early twenties I spent every year alone.  Which was honestly fine by me.  When I did meet Ryan, we lived 4 hours apart and I spent the first 3 year’s apart from him, having dinner with co-workers while I was away for work.  When we did finally get to spend it together, it was just another day of us loving each other…nothing special really.  And due to my busy time at work, I honestly never felt like doing anything for it as I was so tired by the time our dinner plans came around.  And then last year, I was again away for work spending it in a busy restaurant full of couples with my co-workers.

The focus of today should be to spend the day with loved ones and sending them your love if you cannot be near them.  Which really should be the focus every day of your life.  It doesn’t take a special day for me to feel loved or to love my family and friends.
