...my life in Toronto

Horrible commute today.  I walked the short distance to the end of the street and decided that I would be catching the bus to the subway rather than making the additional 5 minute walk down to the streetcar and then, depending on the streetcar I got, making the 6-12 minute walk to work…in the rain.  This decision mostly came about as my umbrella had already flipped inside out and I had barely left the house.  (How do people keep this from happening?  I swear, everyone else around me is fine).

The subway was a mess.  Big delay when I changed cars to go southbound with a line up of 10+ people deep.  All delays due to “passenger assistance” buttons being pressed and then, apparently, no real emergencies.

I finally got on a car but it was jammed packed and I had two bags (straight to the gym after work).  And nowhere to put the one on the floor as I couldn’t even see my own feet and was not going to put it on the floor to get muddy, wet and for me to trip on it as I could barely find a pole to hang on to.  (That comment is made to the b*tch that said in her annoying accent, “bags below down below.”  There’s no room…maybe your stupid a** should not have jammed onto an already packed subway car.  Idiot).

It took me an hour but I finally made it to work.  We had a new guy start so I showed him around and such and am now finally getting some work done.

Oh rainy Thursday, I hate you.
